oh my. this was a late christmas present from vic :) when i flew back from houston, this was sitting in the passenger seat of his car with red roses on top. what an awesome guy. I can’t wait to mix up some sweet vegan cookies and cupcakes with this baby! bye bye, $6 handmixer. she needs a name. something retro, like… betty, or petunia. i might have to work on that some more. My friend Amberley, from back home, names everything “petunia”… that seems like a fitting name, and it reminds me of her. I like it.

we’re finally getting things unpacked in our apartment. Vic put up some shelves I bought myself the other night, and they look so fabulous. one in the kitchen, for cook books… and a few big shelves in the craft room, above my desk. I unpacked three boxes of fabric that I lugged all the way up here from Texas, and i put all of it on the shelves so i can see it better. all those colors and patterns motivate me to do something productive. We still have a lot to do, but it’s finally starting to feel like home. I love it.
